Loveland Festival of Lights
November 20
The Rockstar Verdict
Loveland kicks off the holidays the way only a hometown can, and the Festival of Lights is the night downtown truly shows off.
On Friday, November 20, the newly completed 4th Street fills with the debut of the season's holiday lighting, a stationary Floats on Fourth parade, and the Sugarplum Artisan Market, where local makers sell handmade and vintage goods made for gift lists. Live music and community performances roll through the Jingle Jam Zone, Santa's live reindeer make a rare appearance, and the Grinch wanders the streets stirring up mischief while Scrooge keeps the evening moving as emcee. Kids can meet Santa, make free holiday art, and warm up with complimentary hot chocolate and s'mores.
The night peaks at 7:30 PM, when the community gathers in front of the Rialto Theater to light downtown's Christmas tree and officially welcome the season.
