If you are looking for the absolute best energy in Denver this weekend, stop scrolling. We’ve got your plans locked in.

The Colorado Black Arts Festival is officially back for its massive 40th Anniversary, and they are taking over the west end of Denver’s City Park for three straight days of live music, insane food, and local culture.

And the best part? Entry is 100% FREE.

What You Need to Know:

  • 📅 Dates: Friday, July 10th – Sunday, July 12th, 2026

  • 📍 Location: City Park West (1700 City Park Esplanade, Denver)

  • ⏰ Times: Kicking off at 11:00 AM on Friday (Check the full schedule for weekend hours)

What to Expect When You Roll Up

This isn’t just a couple of tents in a park; this is a full-blown cultural takeover. The festival features three separate live music stages blasting jazz, blues, soul, hip-hop, and R&B all weekend long. (Pro tip: Stick around Saturday night at 7 PM for the KUUMBA Stage headliner).

If you are coming hungry, you are in luck. There is a massive vendor marketplace featuring over 80 local artists, creatives, and Black-owned businesses serving up some of the best food and gear you’ll find in the city.

Bringing the family? They have a massive Children’s Pavilion set up with interactive experiences hosted by the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Plus, the legendary Boogaloo Celebration Parade is hitting the streets on Saturday.

The Rockstar King Verdict

Whether you want to chill in the beer garden with a fresh-squeezed lemonade, shop local vendors, or just vibe to live jazz on the lawn, this is exactly where you need to be this weekend. Grab your lawn chairs, grab your crew, and get out to City Park.
