Denver, this is the big one. The Colorado Día de los Muertos Parade & Festival takes over the Denver Coliseum on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 11 AM to 8 PM — and admission is just $6.20 for adults — and FREE for everyone 18 and under.

🎟️ Tickets: Adults are $6.20 (fees included) on AXS; ages 18 and under are free — but everyone still needs a ticket claimed on AXS, and entry is mobile-only through the AXS app. Download the app before you go. Get your tickets on AXS: https://www.axs.com/events/1666244

What to expect: a parade, live music, folkloric dancing, delicious food, local artisans and vendors, and family activities — plus the breathtaking community altar. Bring a photo of a loved one to place on the altar and honor them.

About the day: Día de los Muertos, celebrated November 1–2, is a Mexican tradition with roots in indigenous Aztec rituals blended with the Catholic All Saints and All Souls days. Families build ofrendas — altars with photos, candles, marigold flowers called cempasúchil, pan de muerto, and a loved one's favorite foods — believing their spirits return to visit. It's a joyful celebration of life and memory, and UNESCO has recognized it as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
